Subject Bloom is the Connecticut-based duo of Ryan Bernhart (vocals, guitars) and Declan Zawrotny (drums, vocals).

After playing, together and separately, in numerous gigging bands for nearly a decade, Subject Bloom emerged fully formed in mid-2023. After an intense flurry of creativity, the band recorded The Blank Canvas EP, releasing their debut EP on October 18, 2024.

Evoking comparisons from 90s grunge to midwest emo to modern alternative rock, the album feels fresh and familiar, with big guitar riffs, driving drums, and intimate lyrics.
